South Central PA Metros Add 6,300 Jobs Over the Year

Regional unemployment held steady in August as Central Pennsylvania added 6,300 nonfarm jobs compared to the same month last year, according to the latest data from the state Department of Labor and Industry.

Lancaster County had the lowest jobless rate at 4.6 percent, while York-Hanover was the highest at 5.4 percent. Lebanon County came in at 4.7 percent, followed by Harrisburg-Carlisle at 4.8 percent.
